Christmas Drinks inc Thinking at Twilight 2014 #4, Wednesday 10th December 2014

Over 50 CamSoc NSW Members and guests enjoyed the company of fellow alumni and heard Tim Beresford, Executive Director at Austrade. Tim spoke on his journey from studying International Relations at Cambridge to his current senior role at Austrade including working for the Department of the Prime Minister during the Rudd/Gillard transitions. His first-hand observations on his political masters were fascinating and will never be forgotten by those attending but Chatham House rules prevent being published here. On the other hand Tim used a number of examples in his own career of how Miles's Law Where you stand depends on where you sit applied again and again. Tim's talk ignited a robust question and answer session.
Kindly hosted by Chris Golis (CamSoc President) and Chris Dawson (CamSoc Vice President).
The event was held in the Library of the Union, University & Schools Club. Camsoc members attending functions at the UUSC are reminded that a dress code applies: collar and tie for men, no jeans, no sports attire, no mobile phones. Read more here.
