The Business Briefing: Thinking about the Unknown with Professor Jochen Runde, Cambridge Judge Business School took place on Thursday 12 November 2015 at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney, 27 O'Connell Street. The famous Canadian ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky once observed that: “A good hockey player plays where the puck is. A great hockey player plays where the puck is going to be.” Exactly the same idea applies in banking and business more widely: it is usually a good thing to be ahead of the trend. The problem is that it is often difficult to imagine what the future might hold in terms of products, market opportunities, risks and so on. This is especially true in situations of complexity, turbulence and rapid technological change.

The Seventh Annual Golf Match versus Oxford was held on for Monday 9 November 2015 at Manly. Result was a draw again 3-3. Daryl Dixon, Richard Lyon and past President Chris Golis won their matches. Fellow team members Nicole Van Der Laak, Peter Wilson and James Balfour found Manly somewhat challenging.
